Police Pursuit Ends in Stolen Motorbike Crash

Last week, a police pursuit involving teams both in the air and on the ground took place in Northern Moor. The pursuit began when the Transport Unit spotted a suspicious motorbike, which was later confirmed to be stolen from Stretford. Despite initially losing sight of the rider, he was caught on CCTV in Sale Moor shortly after.

In their second attempt to apprehend the suspect, the Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit successfully stung the motorbike’s tires, resulting in punctures. The rider lost control of the vehicle on Navigation Road and fled the scene of the crash. Although no arrests have been made, the police are currently searching for the man, following “a trail of forensics.”

This successful operation is a prime example of interdepartmental teamwork within Specialist Operations and beyond, as highlighted in a social media post by GMP Trafford. The police aim to target criminals who are causing the most harm in local neighborhoods.
